Although this site is put on by the Welsh Branch, we welcome enquiries from anyone in the British Isles. Your enquiry will be passed on to your local branch. The Welsh Branch also has District Associations in the following places:- Gwent . Glamorgan These D.A's provide local meetings to members at no extra charge. Talks are given on growing vegetables for the kitchen and for the show bench, also talks on associated subjects. Our list of membership charges include medals to be given by Societies to enhance their show. You will also receive four National Bulletins as well as local News Letters, free seed etc. The Society can also provide qualified Vegetable Judges. 			NATIONAL VEGETABLE SOCIETY WELSH BRANCH CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW This years Show will be held on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st August 2008 at Llantrisant, R.C.T. South Wales. There are 21, N.V.S. Classes and three Novice Classes. A Novice being defined for this Show as not having won a 1st prize in the Welsh Championships previously. All these classes are open to N.V.S. members without charge. There will also be 4, special classes:- Class 1, Welsh Open Championship for five Onion over 250grams each. Class 2, National Leek Championship of Great Britain, for three Blanched Leeks . Class 3, National Potato Championship of Great Britain for five dishes of four Potatoes. Class 4, National Tap Root Championship of Great Britain for two Parsnips, two Long Beetroot, two Carrot other than long and two Carrots Long. These Classes are open to members and non members .
